Zimbabwe $100 TRILLION Notes - 2 for A$10 - global postfree

I have 20 of these notes, by far the highest denomination circulating note ever issued, anywere.

All crisp uncirculated and only $A10 post paid for 2 notes. (Around $US8 right now)

If you want more than 2 notes you can have each additional one at A$4 each.

Payment by direct deposit preferred for domestic buyers, also Paypal is OK.

When these notes were issued in February 2009 they were worth something like US$50 each at the then exchange rate. All 'real' value has well and truly disappeared now, but great curios.

I would NOT consider buying these notes as an investment! They will only ever be curios, in my opinion.

Please observe Rule 19:

"19. Is there a MINIMUM value lot that may be listed here? Well YES. We never intended this venue to be somewhere folks could list a string of $2 thematic/topical sets etc. That would clog the Forum, and probably be of little interest to many members looking for collections or bulkier lots etc. Around $10 would seem to be the right type of price-point to have as a minimum please."

OK, seems I have breached a rule, apologies. I guess I had better cancel this as I don't think it is reasonable to force people to buy 2 or more of these, just to get to the minimum.

Why not make them $A10 for 2 post free anywhere?

I have given away many to friends of the ones you got for me, and they are all stoked to get them.

EVERYONE will keep one in their wallet, and will know at LEAST one person to hand the other to!

I took the liberty of swapping Peter's rather blurry washed out scan with a nicer one a day back and the rush has continued! His agent fees have been adjusted accordingly.

I took that sharp scan above as I'll write this up in my next "Stamp News" column .. most interesting stuff.

DiverPete kindly gave me a great scan of the postally used cover below when Zim stamps had real values printed on, and not LETTERS denoting zones!

And before we all start chuckling too much about Zimbabwe, this Faber guy is NOT a dope, and is often on TV here discussing economies, and MANY of his then "absurd" predications have come exactly true.

May 27 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. economy will enter "hyperinflation" approaching the levels in Zimbabwe because the Federal Reserve will be reluctant to raise interest rates, investor Marc Faber said.

Prices may increase at rates "close to" Zimbabwe's gains, Faber said in an interview with Bloomberg Television in Hong Kong. Zimbabwe's inflation rate reached 231 million percent in July, the last annual rate published by the statistics office.

"I am 100 percent sure that the U.S. will go into hyperinflation," Faber said. "The problem with government debt growing so much is that when the time will come and the Fed should increase interest rates, they will be very reluctant to do so and so inflation will start to accelerate."
